Cambridge Celebration of The Arts

Cambridge Celebration of the Arts takes place each year on Father's Day weekend. This year the celebration is expanding to a two-day festival! For more than 20 years, the event has showcased local artists and their visual, literary, and performing arts talent.

There are performing stages in Civic Square and Market Square, a literary stage inside Historical Galt City Hall and the visual art gallery is on display throughout the main floor of City Hall.

The event attracts approximately 5,000 people and features activities like crafts, giant games, vendors, exhibits, food and beverage vendors and so much more!

Art call – Community installation
InSpire Cambridge: A Celebration of the Arts Community Art Installation

We’re inviting the community to help create a large collaborative art installation made of 100–150 unique vertical pieces. Families, students, art groups, and individuals are all welcome. The installation will be on display June 19-20 in the City Hall Atrium at the event.

Use any materials: paint, collage, plastics, found objects, mixed media, etc. Think of it as your creative “spire” or column of inspiration. Works that are political, vulgar, hateful etc. will not be accepted. When installed together, these pieces will form a striking community-built artwork celebrating creativity in Cambridge.

Meet our volunteer organizers at Cambridge Farmers' Market on Saturday, May 2, from 7a.m.-1p.m. to learn more.

Art pieces can be dropped off for intake day on:

  • Saturdays 9:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. from May 2 to June 6 at the Fire Hall Museum & Education Centre (56 Dickson Street)
  • Thursday, June 11 between 9a.m.-5p.m. at City Hall
