The City of Cambridge is inviting parade participants, vendors and food trucks to join the 2026 Canada Day celebrations.

Planning has begun for a full day of community activities and celebration and the City is looking for local businesses, community groups, artisans and more to help make this year's festivities bigger and better than ever!

Show off your creativity, energy, and community spirit with a float or marching band. Local businesses, organizations, food trucks and artisans are also invited to participate. Canada Day is a fantastic way to connect with thousands of residents and visitors.

Parade and vendor applications are open until May 22, 2026.

Annual Fishing Derby (7:45 a.m.)

Registration opens at 7:45a.m. located at the park, by the river behind the main event grounds and is open to children 16 years of age or younger.

Starts at 8a.m. until 10a.m.

A tradition that has always been a great way to kick off the celebrations

Canada Day Parade (11 a.m.)

Starts at 11a.m. for approximately 1 hour
The parade begins at the corner of King St. and Bishop St. The parade will travel along King St. towards/ending at Eagle St.

Main Event Activities (12 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.)

Canada Day Main Stage Line-up

We are excited to share our amazing main stage line up with you in the coming months. 

Canada Day Fireworks Display (9:45 p.m. or dusk)

**The Fireworks By-Law for the City of Cambridge is currently under review, any changes to the By-Law will be reflected in the planning if required.**

Don't miss our annual Canada Day firework display. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and grab a spot in the park to enjoy the show.

The park and surrounding area get busy so please consider options to carpool and take public transportation.

Vehicles are not permitted inside Riverside Park on Canada Day and there is no on-street drop off permitted inside the main entrance off King Street. Accessible parking is available at the front of the main park entrance for those with a valid permit. 

Limited parking available at the Riverside Park soccer fields via Speedsville Rd. No Parking near the Duke's Dug Out due to construction in this area. Patrons must walk from the soccer fields along the park road into the event grounds.  

There is no public access from King St.  

 

We are pleased to offer FREE shuttle service from multiple nearby locations. These shuttles will be operating from 12p.m. through 11p.m. every 30 minutes pending traffic.

We are looking for great businesses and organizations who want to support our event and get their brands promoted! Opportunities ranging from small to large financial or in-kind contributions are available. We work with you to develop the best possible experience.
